Elisa Davis is one of Fellowship's Children’s Ministry Team Coordinators. I had an amazing encounter with the Lord this morning and saw prayer answered and wanted to share. We were really short on volunteers this week in Children's ministry at Spring Hill and on top of that we had a completely full house this morning (276 people!!). I was already anxious about how things would go, and then found out 10 minutes into service that another volunteer had called in sick. I didn't know what I was going to do and desperately needed the Lord to provide one person to make it possible to run our elementary classes this morning. Towards the end of worship before Connect Time I headed into the sanctuary to see who I might be able to ask to volunteer at the last minute to fill that need. As I looked around and thought about who I could ask I felt the Lord prompting me to trust Him and that everyone I thought about approaching really needed to stay and be ministered to. I stood against the back wall and just prayed "God, I desperately need someone, please send someone to help". No sooner had I prayed but I felt a tap on my shoulder and a volunteer said "Elisa, I just felt the Lord prompting me to ask you if you needed any help today". I was overwhelmed by God's immediate provision in a moment of need and it was incredible to see my prayer answered before my eyes. As we've been talking about claiming God's promises, I'm claiming #33 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus- Phil. 4:6-7".
Just wanted to share how Jehovah Jireh continues to provide for the needs of this ministry and what a mighty God we serve!
